Noncooks think it’s silly to invest two hours’ work in two minutes’ enjoyment; but if cooking is evanescent, so is the ballet. Julia Child I love creating menus, reading cookbooks and trying out new recipes but the last few years there never seemed to be enough time for everything I wanted to do. This week marks my return to a more organized daily life! I am going through the cookbooks, online sites with DD setting our menu with our Cooking class in mind. I usually set the menu for 2 weeks and create the shopping list one week at a time. I like “margins” to keep the system going when we encounter a bump in the road… or two. The uncertainty of the past 5 years were more than my margins would allow.
