What a wonderful time of year! I love fall almost as much as I love spring. The colors were amazing this year and I have enjoyed them even more with the frequent trips to pick up DS at college. So we set out to decorate our house for the first post-construction Holiday and did not manage to do it all but had a beautiful home to welcome the 4 Trick-or-treaters! We did not empty and carve the pumpkins but carved into them. We had 5 leafy pumpkins and one smiling Cat Warrior jack-o-lantern. Most of the gourdes disappeared long before Sunday as the chipmunks and squirrels nibbled on them. I got the idea for the pumpkins in a Gooseberry Patch magazine and also on Martha Stewart’s site. Friedrich Nietzsche Life takes many twists and turns to bring to where you are going… Ten years ago my son was diagnosed with asthma and over the following couple of years we allergy-proofed his room which meant to remove all stuffed animals. I set off on a quest to create a Pikachu he could safely hold at night as none could be purchased. I bought hypoallergenic fabric which also blocks dust and dust mites and can be washed repeatedly in hot water. I am not a proficient seamstress so this was a daunting task. I started working on it and we moved, it was in storage for months and it took a while longer for my craft studio to be setup.
