Petit Senn A day later with my menu than usual, I have been working on my pantry and made the last few days “eat out of pantry” days instead of my scheduled meals. It has been both fun and a source of peace of mind to have the menus and follow them. DD is in the kitchen every time a new meal is cooked and even looks forward to leftovers! I am going to plan slow cooker meals or larger meals again to restock the freezer. It is never easy or automatic to switch rhythm especially when it involves cutting down on artistic time for DD. We started back slowly into our routine by learning about another celebration we missed due to the flu in the house: the Chinese New Year. I meant to post an update on the Triops.. we were unsuccessful again. DD is very sad, we were looking forward to having little pets in the house again at least for a little while. We will try again but worry it is a bit cold and dark in the house right now. Check in over the summer, when it is warm and bright, and hopefully we will have better luck then.
I hope you had a wonderful Holiday season . I have been silent the last few weeks; I did not have the energy to keep up with the blog and all the wonderful work for the holidays as I wrestled with sinus infections again. I will post the menus though and some thoughts over the next few days. I am neither a fan of New Year nor resolutions but this year I might be making an exception… The bout with the virus and slow recovery, showed me how depleted I am. I just closed a long running, very emotional project, and it is time to continue the regrouping with more serious work.
