“If you would create something, you must be something.” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 – 1832)
After a long break I have decided to resume the blog: the death of my nephew coupled with some health issues, and more of life’s happenings had my attention focused on so many other things. The spamming was time consuming and I have temporarily disabled the registration page until I can learn more about Feedburner.
Somehow August always marks a return to the craft room, maybe that fall feeling in the morning air centers us more on home and “nesting”. As last year this is “finish craft projects” month and a chance to revisit the organization of the studio. I have decided to work slowly on making it even cozier, calming as I plan on spending a lot more time in it this winter.
Our first finished project is this sea glass wreath; I have wanted one for our family room for a while. I used tutorials found on the net as inspiration (check out my Beachy board on Pinterest). I used a wire wreath form, covered it with sea foam ribbon, and used the hot glue gun to cover it with sea glass purchased from AC Moore. I find the hot glue does not hold well, I will try other adhesives I have and let you know which I prefer for this project.
So pick a project and get creative!
