A poor man celebrates the New Year once a year. A rich man celebrates each day. But the richest man celebrates every moment. ~Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
With winter here, our focus turns to the house and inward. I love the hibernation, resting, and home focus of the season. A time to reflect and plan for the warmer months to come. The organizational changes that I started last year have lasted for the most part: the pantry storage works but could use a little cleaning, and I could be more diligent at filling jars versus stacking containers, etc. I will have to show you our craft and sewing space that is taking shape. I will start a series of posts on home organization, along with wonderful resources I have found and used over the years.
In a couple of weeks I will celebrate my first anniversary of going vegan. It has played a big role in my journey to health. Please know that even though I do believe it is a very healthy diet, I do not believe it is for everyone. We are all different and our needs change as we do through the years. We only need to be in tune with our bodies to know what it needs to thrive. I hope to have a series of posts on health and nutrition during the year.
School continues to be the center of our world around which all rotates both for DD and myself. I will be graduating from The Institute For Integrative Nutrition in March and I’m already looking at the next class to take. On the homeschool front, DD and I are immersed in US History this year and loving the new challenges.
So a year of healing, schooling, organizing, living… A lot to look forward to and new adventures await us!
Wishing all the very best for 2013
